2017, Bring It On.
Another year down.
Can you believe it?
While 2016 wasn't a favorite for many, Hartley Social manifested some seriously positive change, and we're ready for a bigger, bolder, more impactful 2017! Here's what you can expect to see from us in the year to come:
1. You're a Boss, Girl
Female empowerment is a core cause for Hartley Social. We believe that amazing things will happen when women come together to learn, grow, encourage, share, and kick back. Since our launch in May, we have been dedicated to creating such spaces for our fellow boss babes, from organizing meet + greets to collaborating with the women who inspire us. We promise to take it even further this year (and are so excited to do so). Stay tuned for more events centered around education, networking, and an all-around good time!
"A girl boss is someone in control of her own narrative, who makes the impossible possible and who pays it forward to other women every chance she gets."
"Another woman's beauty is not the absence of your own."
"I subscribe to shine theory. If I shine, you shine."
These are some of the amazing women and female-owned businesses we've had the chance to meet, collab with, and patronize this year: Leela from Lex Eats, Sarah from Space Place & Southern Grace, Salt & Life, Granola Culture, Morton James, Urban Eatings, and more!
2. Give A Little Bit
Or...a lot! Giving is a priority for Hartley Social. This holiday season, we focused on providing food and toiletries to local families in need through the Homeless for the Holidays drive, donating to White Helmets and Save The Children to provide aid for Syrians, and donating to Kentucky Conservation Foundation to educate Kentuckians about clean, sustainable energy.
This year, we aim to provide more hands-on service, and are open to collaborations to benefit the causes that matter most to you! If you're interested in teaming up, reach out to email@example.com to discuss.
3. Remember Your Roots
Lastly, we want to embrace what makes us different. Individuals and businesses alike are constantly pressured to meet society's unrealistic standards- be beautiful, be thin, but don't post too many selfies, be well-traveled, be successful, don't offend anyone, but don't be too soft, be confident, but also be humble... whatever pressures you, remember: it's okay to let go now and again! While we should always be conscious of our impact and how we treat others, there must be a balance.
"Let yourself be silently drawn by the strange pull of what you really love. It will not lead you astray."
We just know that 2017 will be your year. Thanks for taking part in our journey, and, as always, feel free to reach out at any time. Happy New Year, loves! xx
