Less Talk, More Show.
The concept of branding is one that seems to evoke confusion above all else. What does it mean? How does it relate to my business? And, once you have established your company’s brand, how can it be conveyed through social media?
Simply stated, this is what branding means to us: Branding is the art of aligning who you are with how you are perceived.
Again… what does that really mean, and how can I brand my business on social media?
Like most things, showing is better than telling.
An established brand can be immediately recognizable without any words. Creating a memorable, visual representation of your company is huge. A cohesive, branded feed is just as vital as a logo.
In contrast, too much talking is almost always detrimental to your brand. It inspires skepticism and insecurity. Social media is one-sided enough; an aggressive message is more likely to turn off potential customers than turn on. Images are more subtle, more relaxed, and easier to process. The old adage couldn’t be more true- a picture is worth a thousand words!
So, what do we show?
Every business should strive to get these messages to their audience: We are consistent. We are reliable. We are relatable. We are transparent.
In this series, we’ll explore how to convey those messages through social media. Branding is not a short-term campaign. It’s a long-term commitment to posting purposeful content, using the qualities above as your guide. We hope you’ll stick around and check it out!
