Q: What is your favorite thing about Lexington?
A: Lexington is the perfect combination of country and contemporary! It has everything you could want from a big city but still feels like home. Also, the University of Kentucky. Go Cats!
Q: How did you develop an interest in digital marketing?
A: I’d say I’m a super visual person. I’ve always preferred movies over books, music videos over songs, and I tend to “read” magazines just to look at the pictures. Once I started making online profiles (tbt to Myspace) I was obsessed with all the formatting and what I could do to make my page look cool. I also really enjoy photography, graphic design, and vlogging, so that really sparked my interest!
Q: What is one easy way women can support other women in the business world?
A: Positivity! We can try our best to change the conversation by reminding women that we can be whatever we want to be. They don’t call it girl BOSS for nothing.
Q: Ice cream or froyo?
A: Froyo! Endless options and I’m all about the experience.
Q: What is one brand you really admire and why?
A: Soap & Glory! They’re a beauty and cosmetics brand that promote “kick-ass femininity” and empowerment. The brand is unapologetically bold and emphasizes making women not only look great, but feel even better about themselves.
Q: What is your favorite social media platform and why?
A: I spend most of my time on Instagram keeping up with my friends, getting fashion and lifestyle inspiration, and gawking at celebs. But honestly, Twitter has been my favorite lately. I genuinely laugh out loud every time I scroll through my feed, I wish I was that funny!
Q: Sushi or pizza?
Q: Are you more likely to patronize a business with a digital presence, and why?
A: Yes! I’m easily influenced by digital presence. Once I come across a business that’s good eye candy, I follow them. I’ve even ordered things by sliding into a boutique’s Instagram DMs (no shame). Because a customer like me has limited leisure time. I want to anticipate what I’m going to order at a restaurant based on the yummy photo I saw or shop at boutique once I see that they have new arrivals. Hello convenience and satisfaction!
Q: What song is the soundtrack to your life?
A: ‘Sorry Not Sorry’ by my girl Demi Lavato.
Q: Are you a morning person or a night owl?
A: Night Owl, Hoo Hoo!
Q: What is your "go-to" when you need to get shit done?
A: I’m hopeless without a physical to-do list! It gives me so much satisfaction when I can check things off. I also need headphones, a Spotify playlist (typically ‘New Boots’ or ‘Pop Rising’), and I do love some candles!
