Social Media While Traveling.
If you travel often for work or play, managing social media can get tricky. We've got a few quick tips to ensure your content doesn't skip a beat!
Schedule, schedule, schedule
The biggest piece of advice we can offer is to plan. Make sure in the days and weeks leading up to your absence you are creating and producing enough content to last. Scheduling all content on at least one social channel will prevent you from scrambling for a post while you're away, keeping you top of mind for customers and clients.
Turn wait times into productivity power hours
Let's face it- a lot of time spent traveling is a lot of time spent waiting. However, an hour at the airport can provide a golden hour for vital interaction. Seizing these moments is not only a great way to pass the time, but will allow you to spend less time with your nose in your phone on the ground.
Collect compelling content
Travel can be an excellent source for fresh, original content on your pages. As a business owner or social media marketer, you should always search for content opportunities. Capture as much as you can and leave the sorting and editing for your return. If you can't resist posting on the go, plan gaps in your scheduled content to allow for travel content that meets your brand standards.
Travel provides a chance to see things through a different lens. Absorb this as much as you can, and don't be afraid to passionately integrate new ideas into your business afterward!
